H. Irving Wilson is an award-winning author, ordained minister, Christian counselor, and family life educator. Wilson has served as a counselor since 2004 on the staff of three Christian counseling organizations. He previously worked as a schoolteacher and guidance counselor in Florida public schools. He currently serves in the pastoral care ministry at his home church.
Wilson earned a Doctor of Ministry in Family Therapy from Amridge University in Alabama. He also has a Master of Education in Counselor Education from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of the Southern Caribbean.
Irving is a Board-Certified Christian Counselor through the Board of Christian Professional and Pastoral Counseling, part of the American Association of Christian Counselors. He also holds certification as a Marriage Facilitator from Prepare-Enrich, an organization dedicated to addressing marriage and family relationship needs.
Irving found faith at age thirteen. He and his wife, Sherron, originally from the Caribbean Island of Grenada, now reside in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. They have been married since 1994 and are actively engaged in their local church. They have three adult sons—Nigel, Alexander, and David—and one grandson, Xan.
